The circus is situated near the centre of Moscow. The first building of the circus was constructed in 1880. It is one of the oldest circuses in Russia. Though it was many times reconstructed and completed and after all demolished in 1985. The present building was opened in 1989. And in 1996 it was named after Yury Nikulin - famous Russian actor, clown and director of the circus. The circus is situated in one of the boulevards which surround the centre. It has its own pedestrian zone, very beautiful with joyful atmosphere. In summer the fountains make the boulevards look even more beautiful. And maybe you'll have a chance to listen to the live music on the open scene. There are various souvenirs and Russian pancakes and ice-cream on sale.
