One cannot travel to Victoria Falls without going to see the falls themselves up close. Taking a guided tour of the falls will allow you to witness the power and splendor from close quarters. The guides will provide you with interesting facts about geography and history of the falls.
All guided tours include transfers.
The magnificent Victoria Falls or Mosi-oa-Tunya (the Mist that Thunders) is located on the Zambezi River between Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Being one of the largest falls in the world, Victoria Falls is considered by some to be among the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. There is a magic about the falls manifested in the towering column of spray, the thunder of the falling water, and tranquil lagoons upstream
Day 2.At leisure or Optional , ( see below)
16:00 - Enjoy a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River in the late afternoon.
There is something magical about relaxing on the water, sipping on a drinks and waiting for the sun to set. This area provides for most memorable sunsets and fantastic photographic opportunities. Game is often encountered on the cruises, including elephant and hippo.
19:00- Boma Dinner Described as an unforgettable African experience infused with Zimbabwean cuisine, spirited performances and traditional African storytelling.
Day 3: Breakfast, followed by check out.Helicopter flight over Victoria Falls before you collection for your transfer to Victoria Falls airport.
. White Water Rafting - $165p/p
During really high water when most of the big, dramatic rapids, for which the Zambezi is famous, have either been washed out or are considered too dangerous for commercial rafting purposes. The high speed Splash and Dash runs between rapids #15 and #24.
This scenic journey on the Zambezi river is fast flowing but the rapids are quite gentle compared to other times of the year. “Splash and Dash” describes a very high water run operated at the beginning and end of the rafting season.
Considered more of a scenic trip, as the gorge and the river are breathtakingly beautiful following the rainy season, the whirlpools and boils can pose a few unexpected surprises for the unwary.
The hike out of the gorge remains as always – arduous!
