The Syrdarya-Turkestan State Regional Natural Park in the territory of the South Kazakhstan region was organized with the aim of preserving a unique natural complex, archaeological and historical-cultural monuments, as well as rare and endangered species of plants and animals. The area of ??the park is 120,000 hectares. The territory of the park includes mountain, sandy-desert, landscape complexes. The park's flora includes about 955 species of plants, 40 of which are listed in the Red Book of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The fauna of the park has about 382 species of birds and animals among them 109 species are listed in the Red Book of Kazakhstan. One of the most famous attractions of the park is the only kennel in the country to restore the populations of Bukhara deer.
