Ananuri fortress situated near the Zhinvali reservoir. Within the complex amongst other buildings, are two church , One of them is richly decorated facades.

Road goes along Georgian Military Highway and follows the picturesque Aragvi River. Then will pass through ski resort Gudauri and cross the Main Caucasian Range at Jvari Pass (2395m.).

Gergeti Trinity Church located on the slope of Mount Kazbegi, which is the third highest peak in the Caucasus(5047 m.).
